Back to School 2008

School began yesterday. I welcomed twenty eager third graders into my classroom at eight o'clock sharp, and the next four hours and twenty minutes just flew by! They are so cute!

The apprehension and concern I had experienced last week are gone. The issue I was most bothered about isn't something I'm feeling that worried about anymore. Things have changed, and I think I'll benefit from that. I wish I could be more specific, but I just can't. Suffice it to say that I'm feeling good about all my students and I'm so glad I've made this change now.

Even so, thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! I love my weekends.

So glad to hear that your first week back to work is going well. I am also a teacher (I am a supervisor at a special ed preschool) and we started this week as well. Between my school starting and my own children starting school...I am so glad that it is almost FRIDAY!!! I also love my job, but I love my weekends more LOL. Have a great year.

Glad to hear things went well for you! I taught 3rd grade for 23 of my 25 years and love that age. Since I retired, I have been in all grades PreK-5th and I still love 3rd the most. They are more loving than older students and more independent than younger kids. I had lunch with my 2 teacher friends today (that I went through fertility hell with-28 years ago!) Both of them ended up having surgery for endometriosis/scar tissue issues and it was successful! That was before lasers so it was more invasive -but so worth it! I have a good feeling about you taking that next step! :)
