Gearing Up

Just five more days until I have to report back to work. Where did all that time go? My gosh! The summer has just flown by.

I have felt some apprehension during vacation about what is to come this year with the grade level change. Last month I experienced many nightmares about school. I guess I'm afraid of having another challenging year. Last year was just the pits in so many ways. Ugh...

But, I stopped by school yesterday to meet up with a teacher I'll be teaming with next year. Over lunch I picked her brain a little about what supplies to buy, and about the third grade program. After talking with her, and seeing my classroom again, I have a greater sense of peace about returning to work next week. That's a good thing!

So, I've got some shopping to do in the next few days for classroom supplies, and I'm taking Michael in with me on Wednesday to help me arrange the classroom furniture. Come Thursday, I should be ready to start pulling it all together. Thankfully, the students don't return until September 3rd, so I have several days to get it all done.

I totally forgot you're doing 3rd this year. This will be a great year for you, I'm sure!

I love that photo!!
I've told you before...3rd is the "Holy Grail" of grades! My favorite. :) You will have a terrific year, and when you get pregnant, those kids will be thrilled for you. I am glad you are starting to look forward to it! I know I am doing what's best for me by staying home with my baby, but I really do miss teaching!

I sure hope this year is better than last. Although last year would be pretty hard to top on the sucky scale. :)
