Are You Ready?

To get back on the roller coaster with me, that is...

My period finally started today, so I put a call in to the RE's office and let them know. We're going to try another IUI before we go on to IVF - this time with injectibles. I'll be going in for my day-three ultrasound on Sunday, and they will show me how to use the injectibles at that time. An order was placed for all the medication today, and it will be delivered tomorrow. The doctor's office had told me that the medications would be covered by my insurance, but alas that is not the case. So, we'll be adding an extra $800 to the expense of the IUI this time. Clomid was cheap. I wish it had worked for us. Sigh...

While I am prepared to go on to IVF, it is my heart's desire that this will be the cycle and the means by which we conceive. I would love to avoid the challenges that IVF will present for us. But, it isn't really something I have any control over, so I'll just do my best and pray that it's blessed.

Here we go!

True Clomid is cheap, but it is the hardest on the body as far as mood swings. I think you will be amazed at how much better you feel on the new, expensive drugs.

Luck!

I'm ready!

So dang! The prescriptions aren't covered?? I had kind of the opposite experience -- noone ever told me the prescriptions were covered separately so I just assumed they weren't because the IUIs and IVF weren't. I found out about $3000 too late!

Anyway, if you end up moving to IVF, you will be glad you did the IUI injectibles first. It is pretty easy and gently eases you into everything you need to do for IVF.

Good luck!!!!

Stand strong and keep going! It sounds like you are surrounded with a "prayer army"! Been there and done that ...and have the T-shirt! I have been very successful with my prayer list over the years. I guess that after people prayed for my future children and it worked -that I had to pay it forward! My most current prayer project is on bedrest because her IV TWINS are about to make their grand entrance!!! The nextprayer project is due in November. So be confident...you are next! I'm praying!!!

i hope you don't mind if i hop on your journey with you? I found you from pariens. farm girl (my friend)... I am praying and rooting for you!

although I cannot comp. what you are going through I understand a weee bit... my husband had a vas reversal (we do have 4 children together) then we miscarried twice and we did get a baby after a time. Again, I know I don't have a CLUE about what you are really going through.

lots of love and God's richest blessings your way!
