Looking Good...

The results of my blood test were that my progesterone level is 30 - anything higher than 10 is good according to the nurse. It was 28 last cycle, so not much has changed this time. I'm feeling good, and hopefully next week's blood test will be good news for us.

Thanks for all your comments on my last post. I appreciate your support, and I thank you for calling anonymous names! Ha! I liked what Kristin said about my decision not being the abandonment of a child, but rather the idea or intention of becoming a parent to a child through adoption. I would never have discontinued a process in which I already knew who my child was. I just wasn't willing to put our lives on hold for an unknown amount of time. And that is what The Wait has become - unknown. I couldn't even project what year I would receive a referral!

I know you all don't need me to justify my decision. You get it. And I thank you for that.

Hoping the best for your next blood test!

As for the anonymous comment, I don't see any difference in pulling out of the adoption program before a referral any different than me giving up on the idea of conceiving my own child. Sometimes we just need to move on.

Hoping you the best! (Get you red ink pen out. That sentence is seriously wrong ;) )

Sorry, I missed the last post, but just read it.

Far out. Obviously this person hasn't followed your blog(s), and has unfairly made an uneducated judgement about your situation.

Just want you to know that I, for one, am 100% behind whatever you decide is right for you and your new hubs. New life, is new life. Whether via adoption or otherwise.

So sorry you had to cop that.

Joannah,
I followed your blog when you were "waiting for jillian" and have continued following your journey here. Anonymous has to "get a life" or at least have the courage to post his/her real identify. Everyone's journey to their child is different, yet miraculous in its own right. Your baby was born in your heart a long time ago...whether he or she is in China or your birth child. I wish you much happiness and a pray that you have good news this month. Any way a child joins a family is a miracle in my mind. The "wait" for China is just unbearable!!

All my best,
Michele, mom to Emily and Alyssa
