Wow, Indeed!

Here's a creepy comment from my old blog "just for jillian" that I received this morning:

Adoption is not a second choice. If you already had your daughter before you got married, would you just give her away? So sad that there are people like you who view adoption this way. Wow.
Naturally, it was anonymous.

So sad that there are people like this commenter who feel like they know it all. Adoption is a wonderful thing. No doubt about it, and I wish I could have done both - finish the adoption and get married. What has happened with the program I was involved with however forced me to choose between the two.

Isn't it amazing that some people have to make their narrow-minded, judgmental, and militant views public?

UGH! What a knucklehead!

The bottom line is that there was no child "give away". There was an idea of a child, a plan for a child, but you were still a year (year?!) from a referral.

Sorry for the haters... the ANONYMOUS chicken-sh*t haters.

but, of course, I am the girl who has "placed all Chinese adoptions in jeopardy with my careless parenting" (Anonymous comment on my blog after I posted a photo of Eva in the back of a cab in NYC)!

I'm sorry. :( People can be so hurtful and I just wonder why they can't just keep it to themselves?!

I'm catching up on your blog while Ella sleeps. I am PRAYING, praying, praying that this cycle works for you!!! Don't worry about the multiples----I say that and of course, I always worried about them because I knew Scott would freak PLUS twins run in my family. If it happens, it happens and we'll all pray for healthy babies!

Try not to obsess!!

P.S. I wish I could knit!

What an ass!

It's only been a week!!!!! I thought it'd been two...still praying for you here!!

As for Rev. Run...You've got to check him out. I just love his family values and his words. Yeah it's reality TV, but it's good. Tonight @ 10 they bring home their baby girl they adopted.

I don't even have words for those people. First, they have NO IDEA the situation you were in. Nobody does, but you and Michael. Secondly, it is none of their business! Annonymous commenters annoy the heck out of me anyway. If you don't have the courage to write your name on, then please do us all a favor and don't write it! Hope things are going well and you are succeeding at the "not obsessing" thing. Obsessing is one of the things that I do very well, unfortunately.

Don't have the time nor energy nor will to even care or try to justify why I would have made the decision you did... my response? (With a rolling of my eyes and a get over it sigh)- WHATEV (no energy even for the -er)...

Whatever.... I hate when people feel they can judge our decision, but hide behind an "anonymous" when they do so. Cowards...

Hey, you know what they say:

I'm going to oneup Kristen & call "anon" a "Chucklehead"...one who evidently knows nothing about the China Adoption process and who holds no empathy toward the excrutiating process of considering making such a change. It was a loss & a decision that most certainly wasn't made lightly.

Lame.

Well there's always going to be "annonymous" commentors who know EVERYTHING!! Right? That's why they have to keep themselves secret.

Butt heads!

It's sad that someone is so bitter and unhappy in their own life that they feel the need to try to bring others down... Fortunately, we know better, and can just say.. "how sad for them"!!

David said...

Well...I actually thought the same thing.

Okay, okay...just kidding! I never thought that. Anyone who had read your blog over time would really know you and wouldn't have left such a ridiculous comment.

Sorry someone had to be a jerk...and it was most certainly left my someone NOT caught in the Chinese adoption limbo world where every day repeats itself over and over and over and over and over...

Oh...did I doze off there?

Ugh! I can't stand the anonymous mean comments. Honestly, if you HAVE to offer unwanted opinions on someone's life (and why???)at least have the cohones to give a valid email address or blog address in return. Sorry!

This person doesn't have all of the facts and is distorting the information she might have. So wrong.

That comment doesn't even make sense.Surprise, Surprise.
Maybe they get a thrill from upsetting people. Thats sad.

Yuk...

Hate those idiots...

Sorry you had to suffer that...

Keep the faith..

It is obvious that your support system is standing up for you in such a loyal way. People who pass judgment (let alone without knowing the facts) are people who have limited capacity for understanding in the first place. Those of us who are in the process know the choices that we are forced to make by our agencies and governments. As if your heart needs this right now.

Ugh!

It stinks when people don't behave like humans.

Mean people, stupid people and also ignorant people just SUCK that’s why they have to be anonymous because they just don’t get it themselves.

That person was wrong in what they said. I have adopted two wonderful children from China. If I were in the situation you were in with how China's program is going I would have done the same thing. Ignore them.
