The Invitations

So, here are the invitations! I have blanked out some personal information, but you get the idea. I think they are gorgeous. I just love these rich, fall colors, and consequently the invitation has been the inspiration for the wedding flowers and other details. I was surprised when my order arrived that the envelopes are red, but I love that, too. They are just perfect for the fall season.

I ordered them from Invitations with Style and they were very affordable. However, I believe they were so affordable because they are laser printed instead of being engraved or some other elaborate printing process. That's okay with me as it just wasn't a priority. I was also limited on the type style. Fortunately for me, I liked what they offered and the price was right. I did notice today that my order is missing envelopes for the matching thank you notes I ordered - they were supposed to be included. So, I've got to follow up on that and see if I can get them sent out to me right away.

Tomorrow, with the help of my mom and my sister, I'll be addressing these and getting them out in the mail come Tuesday. Now before you go feeling sorry for us and all the writing we'll be doing, I must confess that I'm taking a shortcut. I have printed out clear address labels in a beautiful script. It's probably tacky to do so, but my cursive stinks (believe it, or not), my mom has arthritis in her hands, and so my poor sister would have been addressing all of them herself. So, we'll put technology to work for us instead, and hope our guests aren't terribly offended. ;-)

I LOVE the colors.. They are beautiful.

And the last three weddings I attended has address labels printed the same way on the envelopes. I never gave it a second thought. :o)

Those invitations are awesome! Love the flowers and the colors. Great pick! (And I don't think printed labels are a problem at all, I think your guests will tear open the envelopes, throw them away instantly, and grin when they see those beautiful invites.) :-)

I love the invites! I'm with you and find it a silly waste of money to go engraved. We all know where most of the invites end up in the end.

I love the red envelopes too!

Very pretty. And as always, with such "Joannah" class and style!

Something about getting the invites out in the mail that makes you feel like things have really progressed to the final stages of preparation.

They are beautiful and yep fall colors are just plain fantastic.

I would have loved a fall wedding just because of the deep rich colors fall brings.

I love the invitations you chose; great fall colors! In response to the e-mail you sent about my blog comment a week and a half ago or so, I never realized China wouldn't allow single people adopting to marry in the meantime, but the wait was never as long as it is now, so people could just postpone their engagements and nuptials for a few months. But with the uncertain wait now, no one would want to wait years to get engaged on top of the questionable length of the adoption. There is no age limit for adopting from Vietnam, so if you decide to adopt in the future that is one of the few countries that you might want to look into. I wish you the best of lucj=k in everything and I'll be checking back.
