It's not the Swine Flu, but...

I'm pretty sure I have the flu. What started out as congestion and coughing early last week has progressed to a low-grade fever, body aches, nausea, and insomnia. My weekend has been spent on the couch and in bed.

Because of that, I won't be going into school tomorrow, and I won't be going with Michael to the hospital for his biopsy either. I will have to leave him in the tender loving care of his mom and my mom instead.

Fortunately, he's been out of the house most of the weekend. So, I'm hopeful he won't catch this bug. He had a wedding gig yesterday afternoon, and a church gig this morning. Then he went up to see his dear friend Sue who is losing her battle with lung cancer, and his sister who is recovering from a stroke. :-(

Please keep Michael in your prayers tomorrow. The biopsy is at noon our time.

Update: Slept like a rock last night! Woke up this morning fever-free. Still congested, but I have definitely turned the corner. Thanks for all your good thoughts and prayers for me! :-)

Remember those ailments that start out with out a fever and then progress to fever are often secondary infections. A trip to the doctor might be in order.

You guys will be in my thoughts tomorrow.

I don't know what to say...I don't even "know" you but I want to make this all better for you...you are certainly enduring more than your share right now. Thank God for all the love in your life...it is so clear that it is all around you.

Yay! I'm glad you're feeling better. Maybe today you can just take a moment to breathe, if you know what I mean!
