Palm Sunday

The they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it; and he sat on it. many people spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut in the fields. Then those who went ahead and those who followed were shouting,
"Hosanna!
Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!
Blessed is the coming kingdom of our ancestor David!
Hosanna in the highest heaven!"

Mark 11:7-10

Tomorrow begins Holy Week. I am looking forward to reflecting on the events surrounding the crucifixion, and celebrating the resurrection. For a Christian, this is the most significant time of the year. I just finished a 90-day Bible study about the life of Christ by Beth Moore. It painted a beautiful portrait of  His life, His character, and His love for us.

It's also the start of Spring Break! Unfortunately, or fortunately (depending how one looks at it), Michael has to work all week. So, we won't be able to do some of the things we planned to do. But, we are going to the Huntington Library and Gardens tomorrow. I can't wait!

I LOVE that Beth Moore study! I did it in Korea and it brought me closer to Him than 1,000 church sermons. :)

Thanks for your encouraging words and bible verses. It's just what I needed to read. I went to a womens conference last week and we sung 'desert song' many times over the weekend. God used it to really speak to me then and it had me in in tears. Listening to it again on your post really helped put things in perspective again and focus on praising Jesus. This is a difficult journey and i'm thankful we don't have to bear the burden alone :) I hope you have a relaxing week!

Looking forward to hearing about the gardens.
Thank you for your kind comment about my son. As a teacher and someone who has such a heart for kids I do think you would just love him!
We are doing something special around here for Holy Week - hoping to get a post up.
Hope you are having a relaxing and insightful break.

My darling Joannah, I so love your honesty through this process and your strength. It is bloody hard I imagine to see others around you succeed... You have remained so wonderful throughout this process. Enjoy a few months off! Live in your moment...smell the Spring. Enjoy your beautiful garden. Spring is such a lovely time - especially when you get a week off school!!!!!!!!! Have a good, well deserved break.
I think of you often.
