But (and it's a big BUT), my level is very low - only 16 right now. So, there is a chance that this is not a viable pregnancy. I will return for another BETA on Friday morning. The doctor said it needs to double by then.
I haven't really processed this yet. I was totally expecting a negative result. For the moment, I am pregnant.
So, another couple days of waiting and praying. I can hardly stand it!
Thank you all for carrying me in your prayers today. It means so much to me.

God is good my friend...faith like a mustard seed...my prayers continue...
Yeah!!!!! I had a feeling! When I was pregnant with Lucy, my first blood test was about 16, maybe less. They didn't even re-test...just took it as a positive and progressed onward from there. Nearly 4 years later, I have a beautiful, amazing three year old. Here's hoping and praying for the same for you.
lots of prayer coming your way from me.

Oh Joannah....I am so excited to hear this! I'm praising the Lord for this wonderful news. I'm praying that your beta more than doubles by friday!!
((HUGS))
Just checked my old labs (don't know how I managed to keep my hands on them)...my first test was an 18. I remember them saying "it's positive, but very early." I was 2 weeks post conception at that point. So there you have it...you are positive, but it's early!
I screamed out loud and my kids came running!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy and thrilled and will continue to keep you in my prayers!
I am SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crossing everything for you and sending my prayers.

So, we have all been down with the flu (I mean puke everywhere...TMI) but anyways, I don't have wireless so stuck up in my bed I called my Mom yesterday and made her check your blog, then I carefully made my way down the stairs this morning...Oh, If we lived closer I'd be at your table holding your hands and praying with you!
Double, double, double. I'll be stalking you Friday morning - and petitioning the Father.
You. Are. PREGNANT! Hugs to you!!!
Now that put a smile on my face after a crappy day!!!
Will keep those prayers on double-time!!
OK, I think I start out every comment with "Wow!" (or at least I say it in my head), but WOW! That is awesome news, and I am very much praying for Friday :)
A low beta simply means that implantation happened a bit later. Check out the charts on this site:
www.betabase.info
LOTS of pregnancies were successful with betas this low but the number isn't really important right now. What's important is how quickly it doubles. You probably already know this.
We've been where you are three times but had no idea what the beta score really meant and that's why we created www.betabase.info. There are betas from over 33,000 pregnancies there now. I hope the statistics give you some reason to be optimistic.
I'll be thinking about you and hoping and praying for great news on Friday!

Our blog: Double Happiness!
Joannah! Congratulations on your positive test-- the only thing you can know for sure is that you are pregnant right now-- and I will hold you gently in my thoughts and heart and wish for you a fine and healthy doubling. I agree with those above, it is so early, and there is such a large window of when implantation can occur, that the value now is, well, just the value now.
Good luck to you, and I hope you allow yourself joy even if you are feeling cautious. This means all the parts met up as needed! warmly, Kate
Goose bumps from head to toe.
Sending "doubly" good thoughts for Friday.
That is good news. I have known a lot of women with low betas that went on to have beautiful babies!

I'm SO happy for you-Congrats!!! I just LOVE your blog-just started reading it this week. It was sent from my SIL who just had her first IVF beta today too (sadly it was negative). But I was so amazed at your journey-that I too started a ttc blog this week. We are also doing a China Adoption with AWAA...LID August 16, 2006 (had her website up since 2006). I was sad to see your decision to pull your Dossier-though I TOTALLY understand it. And we are still ttc#1-since 2001!! I'm sending positive thoughts that your #'s double on Friday!! Hugs
That is fantastic news. Yippee!! Will be thinking of you on Friday.
