Fertilization Report

Our doctor left us a message this afternoon letting us know that of the eleven eggs, eight were mature. They went ahead and did the ICSI on those eight, and of those, six were successfully fertilized. He said he would call on Friday with another update and to schedule the transfer, so it looks like Sunday will be the day for that. We're really happy with the status of our little ones!

I tried to go into work today. I knew when Michael dropped me off that I wasn't going to make it through the day though. My stomach has continued to be tempermental and my lower back is sore. Called a sub first thing, attended the staff meeting, organized my room for the sub as the students arrived, and was out of there by 8:30.

I spent the rest of the morning napping, and then we headed down to the doctor's office for my weekly acupuncture session. Now I'm chomping on Saltines and heating up some chicken noodle soup. I hope my stomach will settle down soon.

6 is wonderful!! I'm so happy to hear that you have that many. I'll be praying they continue to divide over the next few days. I'm going to email you in a few minutes...I have a couple of questions for my IVF buddy. :)

I'm praying your stomach feels better soon.

Wow! This whole process just amazes me. What happens next? How many get implanted at once? (Visions of Octo-Mom swim through my mind... NOT!)
Sorry you're not feeling well- is that to be expected during all this, or is it a bug?
Praying for you and the little ones!!

Hi Joannah! I am so pleased with your fertility report- that sounds just great- and I am sorry you are still feeling under the weather belly-wise. I hope it settles soon, but it sounds like you are taking care of yourself and that is great-- Hope the next few days fly by with a gentle belly, great embryo development reports and a wonderful transfer this weekend. Take good care,
Kate

Congrats on a great fert report! This is quite the adventure and I'll be thinking about you on Sunday. Better stock up on HPTs! I started testing immediately so I could see when the HCG trigger shot left my system. Then when that 2nd pink line showed up again, I knew it was the real deal!

Hope your tum tum feels better soon!

Great news! Continue to rest up and feel better. How many will they implant? I have no idea what the standard number is, or if there even is a standard. Feel free to keep that info to yourself, though...you are brave to share as much of your journey with us as you do!
