Cycle Day 1!

After having a short and unusual cycle after the last Follistim cycle, I am most happy that my period started today. My $800 worth of meds arrived today, too. We are ready to go! Saturday morning we'll go in and see what my ovaries are up to, and then we'll begin the Follistim shots Saturday night.

We're really hoping this cycle will be the one. Michael postponed his prostate biopsy so that we could try again this month, but he's going to have to have that done next month. Hopefully no cancer cells will be found, but if they are that will dramatically change our future. I don't know why, but I'm not worried about it. I don't know what the outcome will be, but I do have a peace about it.

On a different subject, I'm addicted to hummus these days. We bought the most amazing hummus at the farmers market on Sunday. It was so thick and buttery. Yummy! We ate two containers of it in no time. We're now working on a container of it that we picked up at Costco. It's good, but not like the stuff we got at the farmers market. I can hardly wait to get more next Sunday.

Michael's birthday is next Wednesday. I purchased him a two-year membership to 24 Hour Fitness. I've had a membership for a long time, but I hardly ever go. I would go more often if he went with me, though. We're looking forward to working out and getting fit together in 2009.

The weekend before Christmas we're going to Las Vegas. Michael is working at the Orleans, and so we'll stay there for the first three nights because it's free. The 22nd is my birthday, and I didn't want to drive home on my birthday. But I also didn't want to stay at the Orleans on my birthday. I first booked a room at Paris for one night, but then we got a promotion in the mail for the Wynn that was so affordable. So we switched our reservation. The Wynn is a gorgeous hotel! I'm very excited about staying there. We're looking forward to seeing all the hotels decked out for Christmas. I'll bet the Bellagio will be lovely in its Christmas decor!

It would be so awesome if this cycle ends up being THE ONE for you guys. :) I'm praying for that.

I loved Vegas...the hotels are just amazing. We stayed at The Venetian, it was so pretty and I loved the Grand Canal Shoppes.

Just hearing how much your meds were...ugh, I dread that part of it when we start back in Feb. Crazy expensive.

I hope you have a great weekend, girl. I'm excited for you, starting this new cycle!

We are BIG hummus fans here. Our local market has a crunchy kind that makes our eyes close. So yummy.
You know how much I am pulling for you this month. You are in my thoughts so much these days.
Hope you have a wonderful time in Vegas!! I should send you some money and you could gamble for me. ;)
