Wishes

Last year, just before Christmas, a student of mine gave me one of these Wish Ornaments from Red Envelope. As I was putting up my tree this evening, I came across it again, and I checked to see if I had put any wishes in it before. When I opened it, I found these two wishes:

2007 referral for Jillian

&

** commitment **

Now, as you know the first wish sadly didn't come true. But my second wish absolutely did. I was waiting last year for Michael to make up his mind about his/our future. It was a difficult time for me. Now, I'm a married woman! What a difference one year can make in one's life.

I suggested to Michael that we make some wishes together for 2008 and place them in our Wish Ornament when he returns in a few days.

On a different note, it's no fun being a newlywed when your honey is thousands of miles away...

A year has made so much difference in your life, Joannah and I am so happy that it has.
I think the idea of making a wish at Christmas is beautiful!
By the way, your wedding photos are amazing!! However will you choose from among so many lovely pictures?

Yes, what a difference a year can make! My baby boy, completed his first year at school! I still can't believe 2007 is nearly over!

I think that's a gorgeous ornament and a wonderful idea, as a couple!

What a wonderful wish ornament! I think Red Env will be getting a lot of orders after this post of yours! So happy for you that one of your wishes came true. Looking forward to hearing that your other one is coming to fruition, too. Guess your sweetie's got to be home more often for that one, though-or so I've heard! ;) ;) ;)
Here's to you being together soon! =)

I had never even heard of a wish ornament before. I might have to get myself one of them :-)

Looking at last years time capsules is, yes, fun - but with newly branded hubs 1,000's o' miles away - not so much. This next year is sure to be enlightening on so many levels. All the best to you both. XO

What a wondeful idea, a wish ornament. I love that. Your one wish came perfectly true and I think the second wish for a child will materialize as well in the future.
