Couch Time

It's not the dreaded swine flu, but nevertheless I'm under attack by some nasty germs here. What started as a tickle in my throat on Sunday has morphed into lots of congestion, a bit of a cough, and the loss of my voice. Fun times.

My sister-in-law suggested to me yesterday that I ask my doctor for a Z-pack. I'm not one to call the doctor when she's not in the office (it's the long holiday weekend, you know?), but I was feeling a little desperate this morning. Bless her heart for calling back and suggesting I take Musinex and prescribing an antibiotic for me. I think I'm feeling slightly better this afternoon, but just slightly.

On our way home from the Thanksgiving feast at Michael's parents (which was wonderful, by the way), we stopped by CVS and purchased a vaporizer. I haven't used one of those in years, but with this dry weather I knew I couldn't tolerate another night of nasal stuffiness and having to breath that dry air in through my mouth. Can I just tell you that I love that vaporizer? What a huge difference it made for me last night.

Hopefully, Michael won't get sick...

So, our plans to begin painting and installing crown moulding this weekend have been postponed. Perhaps I'll start to feel better tomorrow or Sunday and we can get going on that project, but it's hard to say right now. I'm very happy with how the paint job turned out, though. Such a pretty and soft yellow color.

In lieu of doing our own DIY project, we're watching HGTV while crashing on the couch. ;-)

Joannah, I hope you feel better very soon. I'm so sorry you're not feeling well, especially during a holiday weekend!

Take care! I've heard Musinex is really good!

May God bless you and touch your body.

STOP! REST! NO DIY!
You have to allow yourself to recover properly.
You have so much stress in your life that if you just decide to feel a little bit better and then go flat out crazy and start this big project you might get sicker. Don't do it. I know you want it done but you really do need to take proper care of yourself first.
Gosh, I just sounded awfully bossy didn't I? Sorry.

Oh man, I am sorry you are sick.
Really, you have so much going on, I hope you can just curl up and get better for a few days.
Are there painting photos? I am gonna hit the archives - have not been around lately, sorry!

No worries, Dawn. We're taking it easy this weekend. I love your passionate response!

Ang, there are some before pics. But I'm waiting to take more pictures until we get the crown moulding up.
