Sutent: Day Three

Just a quick update...

So far, so good. Michael has not had any noticeable side effects from the medication yet. He has been slightly more energetic, and his appetite has been pretty good too. He prepared French toast for breakfast yesterday morning, and he requested a BBQ chicken sandwich from Carl's Jr. for dinner last night. He ate all of it and drank a strawberry shake. I was delighted! Since he weighed in at 148 pounds yesterday or the day before, I think he's realized that he has to eat whether it sounds good or not.

Wonderful to hear he's enjoying what sounds good. Keeping him and you in our prayers. Hugs Joannah.

My prayers are with you this week! I know how stressful this week is with the kids getting settled in with the schedule. I pray that they will be your best class ever! I hope that your classroom will be a place of calmness that allows you to have the energy to give to Michael. I know that in the worst times of my life my classroom turned into a refuge. Somehow my kids sensed I was in need of something to lift me up!

Way to go, Mike, keep eating!! Let me know if you need private lessons--I'm pretty good at eating. It's good to hear about the increase in energy and appetite!

It's good that he is eating, even if it is just a little. Hoping that the treatment does what it is supposed to do.
