Back on the Mainland

We got home from Hawaii late last night. It sure felt good to be back in our own bed again, but we miss the beauty of Kailua and our family.

Today I ran errands, and Michael prepped his sub for the upcoming tour that he's having to sit out. Joe, Michael's sub, prayed with us before he left. We have been so blessed by several friends and family members who have prayed with us recently.

Buffy is still at the kennel. We didn't see the sense in picking her up for just a day. Poor little thing. I noticed our neighbor's cat lounging on the driveway across the street a while ago, and I thought how much Buffy would love to be here to bark at her. Oh, well. Soon enough.

Tomorrow afternoon we'll drive up the freeway just a few miles, and stay the night at Michael's sister's in Santa Monica before his surgery on Wednesday morning. We're expecting a short stay at the hospital, and think we'll be home by the weekend for sure.

Michael is sick of this tumor and ready for it to be gone. No fear here, we're just ready to do what needs to be done. I'll be taking my laptop with me and will post from the hospital as soon as I have news to share.

One more thing...

I've noticed in the last couple of weeks that my blog isn't showing as updated on bloglines. I can't figure out why. Anybody else having this problem? Any suggestions?

I'm always happy to be back in MY bed after a long trip. Hawaii is wonderful though, isn't it!

I'm so thankful that God has placed friends/family in your path that will pray with you both. That's just wonderful!

Praying for you in Arkansas. :)

((hugs))
