Still Waiting

We tried a conference call with the doctor's office today in hopes of getting the pathology results read to us. No such luck! The office manager said they hadn't even received the results yet.

Since Michael is in Michigan until Sunday, we decided this evening to wait for those results until Monday when we can both be available for an appointment with Dr. M. I think that's better than hearing whatever we're going to hear with so many miles between us.

With Michael out of the house (and no Laker game on, thank you very much!) I cranked up the praise music and let my frustrations melt away earlier this evening. Good thing my next-door-neighbor is hard of hearing because I had the music up so loud, and I was singing along while I cleaned house (gotta do that before the cleaning lady comes tomorrow, you know). I know it seems counter to our human logic to sing praises to God when life is putting you through the wringer, but it really helps. When I focus on His goodness and His faithfulness, I feel recharged and ready for what may come. It's a lovely thing, really. I can't explain it. It just works for me. A couple of tunes that have been sources of comfort and strength this week are Everlasting God, by Lincoln Brewster, and an old favorite In Christ Alone, by Michael English. You can check them out on iTunes!

Love In Christ Alone, I have that in my head a lot.
I'll be praising God for giving you the strength to get through all of this, J.

Try to enjoy your weekend and do something for yourself.

Hang in there friend. And, yes, crank it up, and let it rip.

I do the same thing when I'm cleaning houses and sometimes my clients will come home to the sounds of me singing away! I love what Sara said...yes you are an amazing lady Joannah.

Yes, praising God in a big way (loud!) is good. In everything, we give thanks.
