The preliminary pathology results were inconclusive, but there were some abnormal cells and the doctor said that is indicative of cancer. The final pathological report will be done tomorrow. If it is still inconclusive, then they will decide whether to send the information on to the Mayo Clinic for a second opinion or have Michael go in for another biopsy.
We will see an oncologist on Friday morning to discuss the final results and possible next steps.
Thank you for continuing to pray. I have asked Michael if it's all right for me to pray over him each day, and he has agreed to let me do that. I did so for the first time this afternoon before we left for the doctor's. I also asked him if he would attend church with me this Saturday night, and he said yes. I'm praying that he will seek God in this and find Him. I know we are not alone in this battle, and whatever happens He will be glorified.
Last week's message at church was all about healing and God's goodness. I was reminded that God still heals today, He is good, sickness is not of God, and that God is always working to do good things. Little did I know at the time how much I needed to know that this week!

I'm sorry that you don't know more, but praise God that Michael is open to prayer and church! How wonderful would it be for Michael to find God in this! I am praying for miracles all around...body and soul!
Praying for positive things to come from this trial! Keep strong and hold fast to your faith!
Joannah, I am praying for moments of clarity, calm, easy breaths for you, and understanding for each of you as you search for meaning in all of this.
The power of pray is strog God has you both in the palm of his hand.
I so believe in the power of prayer. I love that you are praying over Michael. Lifting you both up...

How frustrating to not know more...the waiting game is terrible. I wasn't even aware that Michael was sick, so I am guessing this has all come out of the blue for you both. It seems to me that he is young and strong and that should mean he is a good fighter...and he's got a great partner by his side. My prayers are going up for you both today.

I am so glad to hear of what seems to be a softening of heart. And how bold of you to pray over your husband that way. You are amazing and in my prayers.
Oh Joannah, I have been turned so inwardly, I missed your past few days--- praying and hoping and wishing and sending love your way. Wishing you strength.
Wow, I have not checked your blog in a few days, what shocking news. I am so sorry. You are in my thoughts.
