Pretty Good for a Monday

Mondays aren't usually my favorite day of the week, but compared to how I was feeling over the weekend today was good. And, my husband will be home in a few hours! Thus the picture of the chocolate Lab - he's my chocolate Lab. LOL His flight has been delayed numerous times today. He'll be getting in more than six hours later than he was supposed to. Lucky me - I get to go to the airport and pick him up. That will keep me up well past my bedtime, but I suppose that's nothing to complain about since his travel day will have kept him up for well over 24 hours.

I joined Weight Watchers again today. It's been a few years, but I decided that I'd take advantage of the fact that I've lost a little weight lately and go for losing a few more pounds. I'm trying to decided if I want to do the Flex or Core program. I did the Flex before, but I get weary of counting points after a while. I'll figure it out tomorrow.

Have you used the radio feature on iTunes? I'm loving it these days. Right now I'm listening to a Folk/Americana/Celtic station, and I'm really enjoying their selections. Sometimes I just need to hear something fresh and unfamiliar to my ears, and anything acoustically driven usually appeals to me. Yesterday, I enjoyed one of their solo piano stations. Very mellow - like something you'd hear at the spa.

Lastly, my sister and I are going to Amy Grant's 20th Anniversary Lead Me On Tour in October. I've seen more Amy Grant concerts than I can count since I was a teenager, and I can say that I remember seeing the original Lead Me On Tour. I can hardly wait!

I'm so glad things are better today. I'll have to get with you on the music thing as I've never used my iPhone for that but it is supposed to be the best available. Go figure. :)

I'm so interested in the Weight Watchers thing. I would like to lose about 10 lbs, but I always thought that they would laugh me out of the place. Can you still use it for small amounts...I guess so, because you are. Do you have to go to meetings or is it all online? let me know.
I bet Amy Grant is good in concert, I just LOVE her songs.

Hey, I found your blog through my good friend Tammy's, where you left a comment. I feel and understand and lived your pain.

Oh and btw, I like flex because there is something about knowing I can choose anything I want if I have the points, even though I never waste them on a candy bar. Just nice knowing I can!

Oh hon....I just got home from vacation and ran to your blog to see if your baby is growing yet! Not yet...don't you hate waiting!
Making a baby is stressful enough, but your sweetie's job puts a double burden on you. Thank you so much for trusting us to pray for you and be your friends through this!

New week...new possibilities. Good for you joining WW...I need to get back with it!!

I am mostly jealous of the Amy Grant tickets...one of my first dates with my husband was to an Any Grant Christmas concert. I just love her. Fabulous.

Thinking of you and hoping all is well...and it seems like it is as much as it can be!!

Wow, I remember seeing Amy Grant way back in the early 80's. So much fun. Always good to focus on things you CAN control. Seems to spread the success to everything. =)
